Kitchens

1. Am I under any obligation to you if you come to give a free estimate?

No. Your obligation starts when you sign a written contract.

2. Am I restricted to the designs you have shown?

No. These represent a range of favoured designs which can be tailored to individual needs.

3. Do you have a price list?

No. Each kitchen has its own peculiarities and involves some customising of the cabinets. Increasingly we find our customers are specific about their requirements and the price would vary accordingly.

4. Can you give me an estimate based upon a floor plan?

Yes, providing the dimensions given are accurate, we can give an estimate within +/- 10% of the final quotation. The more you can specify, the more accurate will be the estimate.

5. I don't like chipboard - do you use chipboard in your kitchens?

Yes, but with certain provisions that we believe make MFC (Melamine Faced Chipboard) a good choice for cabinet box construction. In our kitchens we cover all exposed chipboard edges with either a frame or solid lipping. MFC is the most commonly used material for kitchen cabinets. It comes in a wide range of colours and woodgrain effects. It is versatile and very stable. As an alternative we can offer veneered MDF cabinets in a variety of wood types.

6. What type of finish do you use?

This depends upon the client. In general we use sprayed polyurethane lacquers. These are tough and hardwearing and are suitable for stained and natural finishes on wood. They can also be matched to any colour and gloss level. A more traditional method is to use a hand-painted eggshell finish.

Yes.

Yes, we can supply most makes of appliances at competitive prices.

Yes. We normally supply and fit and we are happy to undertake any associated plumbing and electrical work. If you prefer to use your own builder for fitting this is fine with us.

10. Do you make free-standing furniture?

Yes. Free-standing and un-fitted cabinets are becoming more popular and can be
combined with a fitted kitchen or used on their own.
